SuperMoon Saturday

I’m sure the blogger network is inundated with SuperMoon shots this morning so who am I to disappoint. lol

It wasn’t the best conditions for a moon shot..kept going behind the clouds. But I played the waiting game and she finally showed herself for awhile.

I’m assuming nothing catastrophic happened because of the moon last night? I wasn’t pulled out of my bed by the super forces or anything. Unless you count Abi nudging me out of bed at 5am to go potty. lol

In other news.. my lovely daughter was whisked away yesterday by her boyfriend and presented with a promise ring. We’re pretty fond of him and think he’ll make an excellent son in law one day.

We have one more week of Spring Break left before the real world comes knocking again and I have to get up at 5:30am because I have to, not because I want to. lol Why is it when you’re on vacation or break, your sleep patterns still think you’re on work-time??

Today we have a high of 80 degrees… yes 80! The Bristol race is getting ready to start and I’m waiting on hubby to get back with some goodies to grill. I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday! Don’t forget to take a nap!

What a great picture. we didn't get any here. Didn't even remember about it. Darn. How lovely for your daughter. Hey, I've been retired 3 years and still wake up at 5:30 or 6.

Kimmy,
A beautiful shot and interestingly, on my blog trip today there have been a couple people who have posted shots of the moon and they are all so different of the same thing; isn't that fun?
I am happy for your daughter but sad you have to return to week in a week; ugh!
But the good news? 80 degrees? ahhhh, can't be beat in my book!
Take care Kimmy!

Hi Kimmy, We sat out on the golf course for quite a while last night waiting to see the Super Moon. It was sorta cloudy and the moon had to come up OVER a mountain---so it took awhile... BUT--we did see it finally.... Your picture is gorgeous.

Congrats to your daughter... And I think your kitty has the right idea when it comes to napping!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

Hi Kimmy, What a great capture of the moon. Super shot I would say, of a super moon.
Love the photo of your beautiful cat!
Congrats to your daughter. You sound so proud of them both. :)
Enjoy your break while you can.
Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by. so nice to see, and hear from you.
Hugs, Dianne :)

Kimmy..love both pictures..you could have predicted that. I meant to get out there and take a picture too but my eyes are like flaming torches with Miss Catt getting me up so early..so I headed to bed., :-)

I had to wear my winter coat when I was prowling about in the dark taking pictures of the moon. But I like the fact that so many people in so many different places around the world were enjoying the exact same view. Nice photos!

Good moon shot Kimmy. It was cloudy that night, so I didn't get to see it live...sure glad lots of people shared it though.

I know what you mean about waking up early. Many mornings I still wake up at 5:00, just like the old days. But I'm a morning person, so it's not too terrible.

Congrats to your daughter and future SIL. Enjoy the rest of your spring break.
